Dorothy Lee Armin, 99, a well-known life-long Dowagiac resident, popular kindergarten teacher and the last descendent of an historic Cass County family, passed away quietly at her family home in Dowagiac where she was born June 17, 1907.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. led by Abbott Gerald Benkert, OSB, Father Charles Reichenbacher, OSB, both of Marmion Academy, and Father Leo Taubitz of Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church.
She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy Lee Armin's name may be directed to Holy Maternity of Mary Catholic Church, Hospice of Southwest Michigan or to the charity of the donor's choice.
