NILES -- A woman was arrested in Niles on Friday for pending charges for allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor and a license violation.
Patricia Therese Besbes, 34, 1819 N Fifth St., Apt. No 8, Niles, was arrested after a police officer driving south on North Fifth Street observed a vehicle in the parking lot of the "Port of Call" bar, the police report said.
The vehicle was allegedly on top of a knocked over street light and was stuck because the front wheels were raised off the ground.
The officer allegedly found Besbes slumped over the steering wheel, but woke up when the officer turned off the car's engine.
Allegedly smelling of intoxicants, Besbes was placed under arrest and transported to the Niles City Police Department where she was booked and lodged.
She was given a $500 bond for operating a vehicle under influence of liquor second offence, and $100 for driving without a drivers license.

Terry Dewayne Vogelsang, 35, 404 N. Fourth St. Apt. No 3, Niles, was arrested after officers executed a drug search warrant at his home, the police report said.
The officers arrested Vogelsang on several warrants for alleged delivery of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver.
Seventeen rocks of crack cocaine and approximately $240 in cash was seized during the the raid.
Vogelsang was transported to the Berrien County jail.
Michael Ray Stewart, 36, 1725 Howard St., Niles, was arrested when police officers served an arrest warrant at his home for parole violation, the police report said.
The warrant was for alleged domestic violence.
Stewart was arrested and transported to the Niles City Police Department where he was booked and lodged.
