Dowagiac Felpausch Store Director Ron Thuma presented on June 27 to Dowagiac District Library Director Evelyn Holzwarth and Community Services Coordinator Katherine Johnson a sampling of prizes being provided to the library for its ongoing 2006 summer reading program for adults and young adults.
These reading incentives will provide an extraordinary opportunity for adult and teen readers to be rewarded during the Creature Feature program series which lasts through the end of July.
The line-up of activities and recommended reading is listed in the library's calendar of events for adults and young adults who wish to register.
This calendar is available at the main desk in the library.
Those who participate in the bingo game have an opportunity to choose from a number of prizes once they complete the game grid which is also provided at the circulation desk.
The next scheduled event will be Tuesday, July 11, at 7 p.m. and will focus on urban legends that seem so real but are not.
Participants will help create a new Dowagiac urban legend specifically for the Creature Feature summer series.
Also, the movie "King Kong" will be shown Thursday, July 20, at 1 until 3 p.m. in the library. For more information about these programs or any of the of the summer's line-up, visit or call Dowagiac District Library at 211 Commercial St., 269/782-3826.
