NILES -- Officials at Michigan State Police Niles Post 53 are investigating a knife assault which occurred early this morning in the Howard Township area of Cass County.
A Post 53 press release, said two male subjects were apparently found wounded from a knife produced by a third subject whom the two subjects had been assaulting.
The two wounded subjects were treated at Lakeland Regional Hospital in Niles, where they remain in stable condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
