Museum interviewing two

EDWARDSBURG - On Thursday evening, Nov. 17, at 7:30, two people will be interviewed to continue the museum's oral history project.
Bob Freimund and Carl Allen will provide their recollections of Edwardsburg history.
The public is invited to the event.
Refreshments will be served.
For the last interview of the season Ben Bement will be interviewed on Dec. 1 at 7:30 at the museum.
On Nov. 11, the annual flag retirement ceremony will take place on the museum grounds to commemorate Veterans Day.
Flags that are torn and tattered may be dropped off at the museum or the American Legion.
The American Legion will of ficiate at the ceremony assisted by the Boys and Girl scouts.
Coffee and hot chocolate will be available to all who attend.
Tom Flanders has his Vietnam war artifacts on display in the museum.
Flanders has an extensive collection of war memorabilia and has agreed to display his Vietnam portion.
The Vietnam exhibit will be shown until Nov. 12.
Phoebe Hickerson's doll collection along with themed decorated Christmas trees will fill the museum for the holidays.
Hickerson has many dolls dressed for special occasions.
Santa is planning a trip to Edwardsburg on Saturday, Nov. 26, and will be stopping at the museum and the fire station at 11.
The firemen will be assisting him and will provide treats for the children.
The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to noon with a homemade candy sale.
Special sales will take place that day in the Uptown area businesses.
Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum is also assisting with the Miss Edwardsburg pageant this year.
Edwardsburg history will be a focus of the pageant and the participants will be researching facts about Edwardsburg to be presented during the pageant.
The candidates met with the museum staff and toured the museum on Sunday, Oct. 30.
Topics to be researched were selected by each participant.
The museum regulars are assisting with the research.
The Edwardsburg Area Historical Museum is located at 26818 Main St. in Edwardsburg.
Hours are Wednesday and Saturday, 10-12, Thursday evening 7-9 and Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m
