This summer Dowagiac has put together a middle school soccer traveling squad in preparation of having a coed team this fall.
Dowagiac has played five matches against teams from throughout the area and has faired pretty well according to coach Chaiwa Chende.
He was asked to put a team together and has done so.
The turn out has been fairly good and there has been enough interest shown for a coed team next school year.
Chende, who coaches the Dowagiac Chiefs in the Blossomland Soccer team as well, has not connection with the high school.
