Lakeland outing yields $60,037

The 11th annual Charity Golf Classic sponsored by the Lakeland Health Foundation, held Monday, July 21, at Berrien Hills Country Club, raised $60,037 which will be used for health enhancement of the community through targeted educational programming and special events, including health risk and seasonal programming that will motivate consumers to adopt healthier lifestyles.
184 golfers participated in the 18-hole golf scramble. Winners in the men's division were Ernie Garcia, John McGinnis, Scott Meese and Sean Sullivan. Tops in the mixed foursome category were Ben Hill, Jane Beck, Todd Rose and Andrew Pfeifer.
Silver Tee Sponsors were ARAMARK, JohnsonRauhoff and Lakeland Auxilary, St. Joseph. Golf Classic sponsors of the Charity Golf Classic were AmeraPlan, Cerner, First Resource Federal Credit Union, Lake Michigan Mailers, WSJM, Hicks Sign Company, Tom Angelo Coldwell Banker Anchor Real Estate and Kalamazoo X-Ray Sales. Sponsors of the Hole-In-One were LeValley Olds, Cadillac, GMC Truck and Classic Ford Lincoln Mercury.
