ST. JOSEPH - St. Joseph City Dive Team recovered the body of Nathaniel Romero, 19, of Decatur at approximately 11:55 a.m. Sunday, Lt. Pete Fister of the Fire Department reported.
The victim was located by the dive team in approximately 18 feet of water in the St. Joseph River Channel along the South Pier.
The victim was identified by family members and transported to Lakeland Medical Center by Medic 1 Ambulance.
At approximately 11:28 p.m. Saturday, Romero was last seen on the South Pier with friends who reported him missing.
