Stuppy/Billingsley
Mari Nate Stuppy, of Holland, married Micheal V. Billingsley, also of Holland on Oct. 25, 2008, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Holland. The minister was Father Charlie Brown.
The bride was given in marriage by David W. and Jami Stuppy.
The bride attended and graduated both Dowagiac Union High School and Hope College and is currently employed teaching the first grade at Fennville Elementary School.
Micheal graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham and then from Hope College. He is employed as a financial advisor for the Hantz Financial Group in Grandville.
The maid of honor was Jenna Mae Stuppy, sister of the bride, of Dowagiac. Bridesmaids included Katherine Stuppy, sister of the bride, of Holland; Melissa Wirth, friend of the bride, from North Carolina; and Emily Laurizen, friend of the bride, of Holland.
The best man was Charlie Billingsley, brother of the groom, from Chicago. Groomsmen included: David C. Stuppy, brother of the bride, of Dowagiac; Chad Herron, friend of the groom, of Birmingham; Aaron Adler, friend of the groom, of Birmingham; and Ned Scott, friend of the groom, also of Birmingham.
The ushers were Nate Brandsen, a friend of the groom, of Lansing; Jesse Cox, a cousin of the bride, of Dowagiac; and Jacob Cox, cousin of the bride, also of Dowagiac.
The reception was held at "Top of the B.O.B." in downtown Grand Rapids with music and entertainment provided by Jeremy Truitt and Sound Productions, of Dowagiac.
The couple honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and are currently making their home in Holland.
