Cassopolis FFA earns gold at state

CASSOPOLIS - The Cassopolis FFA chapter participated in the 2005 state convention on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing.
The Greenhand Conduct of Meetings team consisting of Beth Miller, Kayla Green, Amy Bloss, Darrin Dussel, RJ Lee, Whitney Smego and James Spaulding was awarded a gold award and named state runners-up. They were coached by Barbie Starr.
Parliamentary Procedure, coached by Bill Butcher, received a gold award. Members of this team are Ryan Green, Cally Hass, Amanda Ampey, Scott Hartsell, Kelli Klimek and Jessica Murphy.
The Junior High Conduct of Meeting team made up of team members Tiffany Rogers, Jessica Adam, Elizabeth Coulston, Kate Hein, Meg Hein, Kyle Miller, Jessica Neumaier, Allycia Mather and Courtney Bellis also received a gold award. Dennis Peterson coached the junior high team.
The Demonstration Team, consisting of Tina Stutzman and Wren Doyle, received a silver award.
Three Cassopolis FFA members earned the Outstanding Junior Award, including Cally Hass, Scott Hartsell and Jessica Murphy.
Amber Hassinger was awarded her state FFA degree and was a member of the state FFA band.
Jessica Murphy also received a scholarship to attend the Washington Leadership Conference this summer from the Michigan FFA Alumni Association.
