The engagement of Lindsey Anne Dees of Battle Creek, and Ryan K. Johnson of Battle Creek is announced.
The couple plan to marry on June 6, 2009, at Pine Knob Carriage House, Clarkston. The Rev. Michael VanCleave will officiate.
The bride-to be is the daughter of Clayton and Margo Dees of Clarkston.
She is a graduate of Clarkston High School, Clarkston. She received both her bachelors and masters of science degrees in biosystems/environmental engineering from Michigan State University. She is now working as an engineer with Consumers Energy.
The prospective groom is the son of the late John and Charlene Johnson, of Bertrand Road, Niles.
He is a graduate of Brandywine High School, Niles.
He received a bachelors of science in biochemistry and molecular biology from Michigan State University and is currently finishing medical school at Michigan State College of Human Medicine. He will graduate with his M.D. in May 2009. He will begin as a resident physician in July 2009.
The bride will be served by matrons-of-honor, Brandi Grimmer, Grand Rapids and Sheila Hill, Clarkston.
Best men will be Corey Davies, Niles and Justin Swift, Niles.
