The Central Middle School seventh grade volleyball team dropped a 25-19, 24-26 and 11-15 decision to Benton Harbor Fairplain on Tuesday.
Kalen Nickens had 13 points, Tiffany Tyus had eight points, Michele Dowsett had six points, Alyssa Greenwood had five points and Jo Jo Pickar also had five points.
Benton Harbor did not have enough players due to illness, so some eighth grade players played in the seventh grade game giving Dowagiac the victory.
The eighth grade squad swept Benton Harbor, 25-14, 27-25 and 15-6.
Kristan Stelmasiak led Dowagiac with 17 points, including nine straight to finish the third game.Dowagiac also got 10 points from Brittany Gnatz, nine points from Shelby Willis, five points from Alex Dean and four points each frmo Shelly Urbanski and Tasia Diaz.
