Elaine L. King, 62, of Niles, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.
Cremation is taking place, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
She was born on Feb. 11, 1947, in Lebanon, Ind., the daughter of the late Charles and Alfreda Fellmy. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1965 and Ball State University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
On June 5, 1969, she married Dr. Robert B. King, who survives.
She is also survived by daughter, Allison (Robert) O'Connor of Baroda, Ind.; son, Brett King of the US Navy Submarine Corps; three grandchildren, Hanna, Maggie and Grace O'Connor; and one brother, Charles T. Fellmy of North Point, Fla.
She accompanied her husband to Belgium in 1970, where he attended Medical School. She worked for CPC International, becoming the head of the company's capital expenditure for Europe and North Africa. Upon returning to the states, she became a full time housewife and mother. Later in life she became an avid genealogist and family historian, researching the family's ancestry and times.
