The South County Vikings baseball team suffered two losses against the Portage Hurricanes in a Kalamazoo 16 and under Wooden Bat League doubleheader.
The Vikings dropped a 6-5 decision in the opener and a 9-3 setback in the second game.
Mason Stephenson took the loss on the mound for South County in the opening game. Steve Clanton led the Vikings at the plate with a pair of singles. Rick Storm, Adrian Davis, Drew Donahue, Stephenson and Anthony Saviano each added one single.
In the second game Nick Downing took the loss for South County.
Josh Henry led the Vikings on offense with two hits.
Clanton, David Walterhouse, Storm and Donahue each added one single.
