Chief Thomas Atkinson of Dowagiac Police Department Friday reported that officers, assisted by Cass County Drug Enforcement Team and the Cass County Sheriff's Office, arrested an individual in connection to the theft of a vehicle belonging to David Groner of Groner Funeral Home.
The vehicle was found wrecked off of North Street in Jefferson Township by the Cass County Sheriff's Office on May 23.
Subsequent investigation conducted by city police revealed that the vehicle was initially taken from the residence on May 21.
Arrested in connection to this offense is Mark Allen Miller, 37, of Dowagiac.
Miller was to be arraigned Friday in Fourth District Court, Cassopolis, on charges of second-degree home invasion and unlawful use of an automobile. Investigation into this matter continues.
