Motocross event slated for RedBud July 4

BUCHANAN – The Monster Energy Motocross National will enjoy its annual trip to RedBud July 4th weekend.
The event is the sixth stop out of 12 in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series.
Practice, qualifying and the final motos will be held Saturday, July 4.
RedBud has been a staple on the motocross circuit since 1974, making it a traditional Fourth of July event.
The event draws more than 20,000 people each year and has an economic impact of more than $4 million locally.
In addition, RedBud is the second round of the Monster Energy Triple Crown of Motocross, a three-race competition worth $100,000 in prize money.
The weekend will actually kick off with amateur action on both July 2 and July 3.
This year’s event will also be live on NBC.
More than 100 professional motocross racers are expected to decend on Buchanan to try to tame RedBud, which is among the top tracks in the country.
Tickets are available online at www.redbudmx.com. Wednesday through Sunday tickets are $70 for adults and $35 for children 6-11. Kids 5 and under are admitted free.
Saturday only tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children 6-11.
