Rangers defeated by Buchanan

A 21-point second quarter helped lift visiting Buchanan to a 67-46 Lakeland Conference boys’ basketball victory Tuesday night.
Clinging to a 13-10 lead after one quarter of play, the Bucks erupted for 21 points in the second period to open up a 34-17 halftime advantage. The Rangers never recovered.
Cassopolis (0-3, 0-2 Lakeland) trailed 52-34 heading into the fourth quarter.
Buchanan (2-0, 1-0 Lakeland) was led by Jalen Brown and Savon Brown, both of whom scored 16 points. Justin Henderson added 15 points.
The Rangers got 11 points from Kenneth Carlson and nine points from both Tyler Gilliam and Lynell Ballard.
