Cassopolis golfers finish fifth, advance to regionals

PAW PAW — The Cassopolis golf team finished fifth at the Division 4 District on Friday at Lake Cora Hills Golf Course to advance to Thursday’s regional.

Saugatuck was district champion with a score of 359. Marcellus Howardsville Christian was second at 372 and Goble third at 373. Bridgman (383) and Cassopolis (386) rounded out the top five. Centreville also qualified by finishing sixth with a 387.

Joey Bohan of Marcellus earned medalist honors as he shot 79.

Tim Coates led the Rangers with his 18-hole total of 88. Blaise Suseland finished with an 89, while Aaron Goodrich shot 94, Brandon James 115 and Bradyn Pomater 118.

The Division 4 Regional will be held Thursday at Milham Golf Course in Kalamazoo.
