NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The NBA is coming back to Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
The University of Notre Dame and the Chicago Bulls announced Tuesday that the Chicago Bulls will play their final exhibition game of the 2012-13 preseason against the Indiana Pacers at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at Purcell Pavilion.
Notre Dame has played host to several NBA preseason contests in the 43-year history of the building; the last time was in October 1995 when Chicago played the Seattle Supersonics. This year’s Bulls-Pacers matchup is part of seven preseason games for Chicago.
Tickets for the game will go on sale at Notre Dame’s Murnane Family Athletics Ticket Office at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 and can also be purchased at www.und.com/tickets or by calling (574) 631-7356.
The Bulls’ game at Notre Dame is one of two neutral site contests on a college campus during their preseason. Chicago will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers in Champaign, Ill., Friday, Oct. 12.
“We’re excited to once again have the opportunity to host an NBA preseason game at Purcell Pavilion,” Irish head coach Mike Brey says. “John (Paxson) and I have been talking the last couple of years about how we could make this happen. The game against Chicago and Indiana is a natural fit with both of those teams in close proximity to Notre Dame.”
