Ella May (Dolph) Knapp, 80 of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Saturday, July 7, 2012.

Ella was born on Nov. 11, 1931, to the late Harvey J. and Emma M. (Egmer) Dolph in Kalamazoo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Laura Knapp; sisters, Betty Dolph and Marion Kandlestorfer; and her brother, Edward Dolph.

Ella is survived by her children, Deborah Buck, of Niles, Michael (Penny) Johnson, of South Bend, and Scott Knapp, of Niles; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandhildren; and a sister, Maxine Scott, of Dowagiac.

Ella has been cremated and her family will be holding a private family gathering.
