NILES – The Niles annual fireworks display sponsored by the Four Flags Chamber of Commerce will be held tonight at the Apple Festival Fair Grounds, at the corner of 17th and Lake streets, at dusk.
The festival grounds will be filled with vendors selling food and refreshments from late afternoon. Portable toilets will be put up.
Firework watchers will find ample parking in the area, with volunteers assisting the police department with parking. As Dowagiac is not having fireworks this year, more spectators are expected than usual.
Though dusk will begin around 9:30 p.m., people are welcome to come earlier to find a good place from which to watch the fireworks display with their families.
Friday, July 4, is the rain date which hopefully won't be needed.
Phil Hornet will be performing his Rock and Roll music before the fireworks tonight at 7 p.m. at Riverfront Park in Niles.
