Maxine Hess, 92, of Rynearson Road, Buchanan, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008, at Lakeland Hospital, Niles.
Memorial services will be at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008, at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
Burial will be at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the funeral home.
She was born on March 16, 1916, in Buchanan, to the late Charles and Maymie Howe.
She was a lifetime area resident.
On June 8, 1937, she married Joseph L. Hess, who preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include a son, Robert Hess of St. Augustine, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Jo (Jerry) Steere of Burnsville, Minn.; three grandchildren, Matt Steere, Jayson Steere and Angela Bell and two great-grandchildren, Nickalus Bell and Anslee Bell.
Memorials my be made to the Buchanan District Library.
