Where are you from originally? I was born in Dallas, but I moved a lot during my youth.
To what organizations do you belong? I am an elder at the First Presbyterian Church, where I also teach Sunday school and sing in the choir. I am also a coach for the Lakeshore Youth Baseball and Softball Association.
Education: After completing high school, I went to beauty college and got my cosmetology license. In 2005, I went to Southwestern Michigan College and got my emergency medical technician license. Then in 2011, I went back to beauty school to get my cosmetology instructor license.
If you weren’t doing what you do, what would you be doing? I would probably be in the medical field.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? Buy a nice house, travel a little, possibly start my own business and save for retirement
Favorite food? Pizza or ice cream
Last book you read? “50 Shades of Grey”
Favorite TV show? Don’t watch much TV. When I do, it’s usually something on the History Channel or Discovery or ID.
Where would you go on your dream vacation? Ireland. I want to see some beautiful countryside and castles.
Pet peeve? People driving too slow, under the speed limit
Best advice you ever got and who gave it to you? “Fake it until you make it” — Miss Rose, my beauty school instructor. She hijacked it from Zig Ziglar.
What would you want on your tombstone? My age — if you ever look at old tombstones, they say aged however many years.
Saves people from figuring out how old I was when I died.
