Meth labs found in Howard Twp.

On Wednesday, June 11, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at Marlin Trailer Park in Howard Township.
At this location, four active methamphetamine clandestine laboratories were located.
This investigation, in conjunction with information received from the Berrien County Sheriff's Office road patrol, led the drug team to the arrest of a 36-year-old man living at the residence.
Cass County Drug Enforcement Team located processed methamphetamine, numerous components of meth labs, four active methamphetamine laboratories and marijuana.
Also located were several firearms.
The Michigan Department of Human Services is conducting an investigation into the home as there were children living at the same residence (though not present at the time).
A hazardous waste disposal company was contacted and responded to the Howard Township home to dispose of the waste.
Rodney Ward, the 36-year-old Niles man, was arrested and transported to the Cass County Jail in Cassopolis, were he was lodged on numerous drug-related charges.
He was arraigned on June 12 in Cass County Fourth District Court for: maintaining a meth lab, creating hazardous waste, possession of meth, felony firearm, maintaining a drug house and possession of marijuana. His bond was set at: $60,000.
