Buchanan FC blanks Niles RAP at Plym Park

NILES – Buchanan FC improved to 3-1 in Blossomland Soccer play on Sunday with an 8-0 victory over Niles RAP at Plym Park.
In other games on Sunday, P&R FC defeated Real Dowagiac 4-1; Diamonds Premier tied with St. Joe Kickers Premier 1-1; Athletic Jaier blanked St. Stephens Villains 8-0; and Whirlpool United edged the Tornados 2-1.
In other matches, the Niles Wolverines nipped Barcelona 3-2 and Diamonds Reserve edged the Bearz 4-3. In matches held on Thursday, the Villains were blanked by Whirlpool 4-0, the Kickers Premier defeated Real Dowagiac 4-1 and Dura Mold FC defeated Buchanan FC 4-2.

Casey Janick scored a pair of goals for P&R FC, while Terry Wakefield and Len Amat also scored.
Alejandro Hernandez scored the lone goal for Real Dowagiac.

The Kickers and Diamonds came into the match unbeaten and are still undefeated after settling for a 1-1 draw.
The Kickers (4-0-1) got its only goal from Andrew Maier. The Diamonds (3-0-1) got its goal from Augustus Sampah.

Kempess Villafana had three goals for Jaier, which improved to 3-0-1 on the season. Also scoring were Alex Boehm, Eric Meisheri, Myles Sanford and Phillip Turner.

Andrew Pyzik and Manolis Anagnoustou scored for Whirlpool, which handed the Tornados their first loss of the season.
Scoring for the Tornados was Mike Johnson.

Buchanan improved to 3-1-1 as Aaron Koziel scored three goals and Doug Summers to goals.
Also scoring were Pete Rossow, Eric Lentz and Ryan Skene.

Matt Wieger, Danny Rodts and Kelly Ball all netted goals for the undefeated (3-0) Wolverines.
Carlos Morales had both goals for 3-1 Barcelona.

Paul Kidd, Gilberto Villegas, Chabu Chapi and Evenezer Asane all had goals for the Diamond Reserves, who won their first match of the year. Steve Petro had two goals and John Jackson the third for the Bearz.

Sergio Duarte had two goals, while Pete Richmond and Tomas Diaz also scored for Whirlpool.
