HOLLAND – Matthew Richardson of Niles, a Hope College junior form Niles, received the Catherine Morrison Science and math Book Award in Education during the Honors Convocation April 24.
The cash award goes to a student in education who demonstrates distinct ability and evidence of commitment to a career in teaching.
Also at Hope, Jason Todd of Niles, received a monogrammed blanket for his participation in athletics at Hope. The orange and blue "H" blankets are given to seniors who have earned at least three varsity letters. Todd participated in cross country, track and field.
Bethel College Graduates
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – More than 500 degrees were presented during Bethel's sixty-first commencement exercises in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. On Saturday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. the first ceremony was held to honor all the adult program majors, the organizational management graduates and the associate and bachelor degree graduates in nursing and nursing completion. The graduates with traditional degrees were honored on Sunday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. Of these students, 55 graduated Cum Laude, 47 Magna Cum Laude and 41 Summa Cum Laude.
