NILES – Michigan mystery writer, dog sled racer and yooper Deb Baker will be visiting Niles District Library Saturday, May 17, at 1 p.m.
Baker is the author of two successful mystery series the Michigan based Yooper series and Arizona based Dolls to Die For.
She will be discussing her newest book, "Murder Talks Turkey." In this third installment of the Gertie Johnson series, the sheriff is out of commission with meningitis when a robbery takes place right in front of Gertie at the local bank.
The robber is shot dead right at the scene, but it wasn't the deputies who shot him, and the hundred thousand dollars he supposedly had in his bag is missing.
Budding authors as well as Gertie fans will be interested in Baker's tips for plot and character development and publishing tips. She will also be happy to sign books so bring your copies.
