The Berrien County Fall Tire Recycling Collection is Thursday, Sept. 10, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 11, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Berrien County residents can bring tires to the Three Oaks Road Commission site, 625 East Ash/Route 12, just east of downtown Three Oaks. This collection is for Berrien County residents only, no businesses are allowed.

The collection is organized by the Berrien County Community Development Department. The fee of $1/passenger tire, $2 for passenger tires on the rim, $5 for semi-truck tires, and $10 for oversize and loader tires off-sets the cost of the collection, transportation, and recycling of the tires. The remainder of the cost is paid for using the County Landfill Use Fund.

Tires collected at the county sponsored event will be recycled by Deerpath Recyclers of Dowagiac, Michigan.
