Warrant served on O’Keefe Street

CASSOPOLIS - The two people arrested for the marijuana manufacturing operation on Wednesday, March 1 were arraigned in Fourth District Court last Thursday.
Kevin Abiney, 43, of Cassopolis, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, manufacturing marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and felony firearm.
His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
Angelique Lane, 37, of Cassopolis, was charged with manufacturing marijuana, cocaine possession, felony firearms and maintaining a drug house.
She was given a $35,000 cash or surety bond.
Both were being held in the Cass County Jail.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team, along with deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, served a search warrant at a residence on N O'Keefe Street in LaGrange Township and reported finding a marijuana growing operation.
Seized in the raid were 140 marijuana plants, packaging material, cocaine and weapons.
