VICKSBURG – The Edwardsburg and Niles varsity tennis teams finished sixth and seventh respectively on Saturday at the Vicksburg Invitational.
Hudsonville won the tournament championship with 54 points, while Portage Northern was second with 48 points and Sturgis third with 42.
Romeo finished fourth (40) and host Vicksburg fifth (34).
Edwardsburg and Niles finished with 31 and 23 points respectively. Schoolcraft was eighth with 16 points.
Niles' Rachel Horn was defeated by Hudsonville's Leah Dancz 6-1 and 6-0 in the finals at No. 1 singles.
Edwardsburg's Miriam Agudo lost to Holly Roelof of Hudsonville in the finals at No. 2 singles, 7-6(5) and 6-4.
No other Lady Viking or Lady Eddie reached the finals.
