Reading recommendations
• Children: Carl Hiaasen’s “Chomp”
• Young Adults: “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
• Adults: “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” By Mindy Kaling or “Let Me In” by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
Youth events
• Chips ‘n’ a Chapter will meet from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Monday. Grade-school children are welcome to kick back and have a snack while listening to Eoin Colfer’s “Legend of Captain Crow’s Teeth.”
• Girls Read and Guys Read book clubs will meet Thursday. Girls Read will be reading “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio and Guys Read will be starting Frank Beddor’s “The Looking Glass Wars.” Both book clubs meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
• Chess Club will meet from 10 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the children’s department. Chess Club will not be meeting during the summer.
Adult events
• Join us for the Reader’s Circle from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the boardroom. This month’s read is “The Dirty Life” by Kristen Kimball. “The Mask of Zorro” will be shown Sunday.
• In observance of Memorial Day, the library will be closed Saturday and Monday.
