J. C. Carter, 73, of Mullen Road, Cassopolis died at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, at his home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 5, at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, with the Rev. Ken Wardlaw of Glade Water, Texas, officiating. Harry Roberts, Post Commander, American Legion Post No. 26 in Niles will offer the American Flag presentation and taps following the services.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the donor's choice.
