WNIL to broadcast Niles game at Benton Harbor
NILES – Tonight's Niles at Benton Harbor girls' varsity basketball game can be heard live on WNIL beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m.
WNIL is also planning on covering both the girls' and boys' district tournaments.
Greater Niles Baseball registration to continue
NILES – Greater Niles Baseball will be having another registration breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Eagles Lodge at 34 Sycamore St. in Niles.
All former and new players are invited to attend and receive a free breakfast upon registering. Greater Niles Baseball, FOP Division is the only registered Little League organization in the Niles and Buchanan area for players ages 5 through 12.
The final registration will be on Saturday, March 15 at its try-outs at Niles High School from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Birth certificates are needed with each registration form.

Howard Cal Ripken registration Feb. 25-26
NILES – Registration for Howard Township Cal Ripken Baseball League will be held at the Howard Elementary School Gym only on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26 from noon until 8 p.m. each day during school conferences.
Any player ages 4-12 on or before April 30 are welcomed to sign up.
Openings still available for referee's course
ST. JOSEPH – There are still a few openings for the United States Soccer Federation's entry level referee course to be held at the St. Joseph Public Library on Monday, Feb. 25 from 5-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 1 from 1-5:30 p.m.
Participants must attend both sessions.
This course is necessary for certification to officiate travel league soccer games.
High school students and adults will also have to opportunity to officiate middle school and high schools games.
The cost of the course is $50. Participants must be twelve years of age.

Fit &Fun class Feb. 16 at Cass COA
CASSOPOLIS – Get moving with Fit &Fun, a family-friendly program for parents or grandparents and kids 10 to 13.
With Fit &Fun, adults will get a new fitness class each week, and kids' classes will cover fitness, nutrition, safety, crafts and more. It's a great way to squeeze in fitness and get kids on the path to healthy lifestyles.
The six-week class will begin Feb. 16 at the Cass County Council on Aging. Each class will begin at 9 a.m. Fit &Fun costs just $25 for each adult-child pair.
