Eddies swept by Berrien

The Edwardsburg boys' and girls' track teams were swept by visiting Berrien Springs on Monday in Lakeland Conference track.
The Lady Eddies were defeated by the Lady Shamrocks, 72-56. The Eddies fell to the Shamrocks in the boy's portion of the meet, 74-54.
Stephanie Koontz was a four-time winner for the Lady Eddies on Monday.
Koontz captured the high jump (4-foot-4), long jump (15-10), 400-meters (1:04.5) and the 200-meters (28.5).
Erin Eggleston won both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles with times of 17.4 and 49.6 respectively.
Also picking up first place finishes for Edwardsburg were Kaitlyn Buzalski in the 3,200-meters (13:28.7) and the 3,200- and 800-meter relays teams.
The 3,200-meter relay team was made up of Kathy Stewart, Buzalski, Angie Bronicki and Veronica Brubacher. That unit posted a time of 10:55.7. The 800-meter relay team, which ran a 1:58.1, consisted of Eggleston, Candace Brown, India Jackson and Jenna Martin.
Ahrin Lemacks was the lone Eddie to win more than one event.
Lemacks won the long jump (18-8.75) and the 400-meters (53.1).
Also picking up first place finishes were Craig Blume in the shot put (43-2.5), Brent Shuttleworth in the high jump (5-8) and Ryan Wenrick in the 1,600-meters (4:39).
