Hold on to your budget in these last days of spending

The last minute surge is on. Instead of Santa checking his list, there are many others who are checking twice to see if they purchased something for everyone on their list.
Unfortunately these last minute purchases may take more than a year to pay off. It is so tempting to buy that great sale item and add it to the growing stack of presents already under the tree.
Think before you buy. When shopping in these final days, know your budget and stick to it. Those impulse decisions which retailers love so much may just cause you heartache in the coming days.
When it takes you months to pay off that purchase on your credit card, you probably are also paying interest, which make that bargain something else entirely.
Return the true meaning of Christmas and realize what is important is the spirit in which the gift is given, not the numbers on the price tag.
