NILES – Pathfinder Networks, a computers, networks, sales and service store, has high hopes for the future and its new Niles location.
Located at 1420 S. 11th St., Pathfinder Networks has been serving customers and businesses in the area since 1998. The company, also known to many as DN Tech, was formally located in Belle Plaza, but moved to its new location because they needed more space.
"We have built up a great customer base and decided it was time to look for something a little bigger. When we saw this building was up, we jumped to it. As you can see, there is much potential here," Parrish Reinoehl, co-owner, said during Friday's grand opening.
Reinoehl, along with his partner and co-owner Joseph Gardner, offer plenty of services and parts for your computer needs. They offer server, PC and network hardware sales, virus removal and prevention, data backup and disaster recovery and a number of other services.
The store can also build a system to fit anyone's needs.
"You can go to other department stores and buy any computer off the shelf, but you may not be getting what you need. We can build a system that will tend to what you will doing the most, whether it's downloading music files, storing photos or whatever else you may be doing," Gardner said.
The two started their business in Cassopolis, near the Diamond Lake area. They started out just part-time and quickly built a great customer base. In 2004, they moved to Belle Plaza and after only three years are resting comfortably in their new location.
"We're excited about this. It's in a great location, there is more visibility and we have much more room to grow," Gardner added.
Pathfinder Networks, which got its new name from Reinoehl's vehicle, a Nissan Pathfinder, is equipped to meet the information technology needs of businesses of all sizes. They specialize in Microsoft technologies and are hardware and networking experts.
The service area covers all of Southwest lower Michigan as well as South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart, Ind.
"Repairs or getting new computer systems in general are not always the cheapest, especially when you go to an actual computer center. But the advantage is that if you have a problem, you can come see us or we'll come see you. You don't have to worry about calling some 800 number and talking to someone who doesn't speak English very well and is sitting in some other country trying to talk you through a problem. Our machines are all completely set up and come with anti-virus programs as well as others," Gardner said.
Pathfinder Networks is opened Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and can be reached at 684-7696
