Robbery reward set at $19,000

NILES – If you have information on the armed robbery that took place at Berrien Teachers Credit Union on Thursday,, Oct. 11, you may want to reveal it.
The Berrien County Sheriff's Dept. and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance in providing information leading to the arrest of individuals responsible for the robbery.
The credit union and CUNA Mutual Group are offering a reward of up to $19,000 for information leading to the indictment and arrest of any person(s) responsible for the robbery of Berrien Teacher's Credit Union.
During the course of the robbery, two to three suspects came into the bank, located at 1501 S. 11th St., with guns drawn and overtook the bank, while one suspect remained in the car. A large sum of money was then taken from behind the counter and vault of the bank.
No one was injured in the hold up. According to Sgt. Randy Miller, the employees of the bank were very shaken up.
It is believed that at least four men were involved with the robbery and the suspects were in the bank for no more than two minutes.
