Families are invited to join Fitch Camp staffers and administrators Wednesday for an open house and to learn more about the camp.

The summer day camp, which welcomes several Dowagiac Union Schools students in second through seventh grade, began June 18 and continues through July 26. Children can enjoy daily activities such as swimming, canoeing, fishing, crafts, basketball and volleyball.

The open house, which offers a look at the camp’s progression and gives updates on what the camp pffers, will begin at 10 a.m. with a lunch served at noon. Wolverine Mutual Insurance Company will also be in attendance to present a $1,000 donation to the camp.

Fitch Camp provides students with transportation to and from the facility on Cable Lake in Dowagiac, as well as a hot lunch daily. Registration and camp admittance is $1 per day.
