NILES – Chuck Williams has established himself as one of Hollywood's hardest working celebrities. After 20 years in Hollywood as an actor, producer, director and many other aspects of the film industry, Williams shows no sign of slowing down.
Williams will be making a special appearance in Niles this weekend as he will visit the Niles Haunted House Scream Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 11 p.m.
The Niles Haunted House is featured in the shocumentary Halloween … The Happy Haunting of America 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition DVD. Williams co-directed and produced the film.
"He is a real character. After you talk to him for a minute he's your best friend," Pete Karlowicz, spokesperson for the Haunted House, said.
Karlowicz said that Williams is part of the driving force behind producing the DVD, which features several different haunted houses around the United States.
"In the haunt industry, this is a big deal. This is a big deal for Niles period. So he (Williams) is coming to Niles to promote it," Karlowicz said.
The DVD will be available this weekend for a low price of just $10.
Williams will be on hand to sign the DVDs and talk about the film.
"The footage is a lot of fun and very professionally done. It's a national release so the Niles Haunted House is getting recognized all over the U.S. for this," Karlowicz said.
Williams moved to Hollywood in 1983 to become an actor, but his enthusiasm for every aspect of film making quickly forced him to broaden his horizons.
He has worked as an assistant director alongside many Hollywood heavyweights, including James Cameron, Rob Cohen and Kathryn Bigelow, along with a host of others.
Some of his other films include the Sundance Channel's Eddie Presley, HBO's Double Blast and William Shatner's Groom Lake for the Sci-Fi Channel, plus any more.
Williams also appeared as the murderous title character in Dark Walker, a role which gave him the honor of being immortalized as a Halloween mask and trading card.
"We encourage everyone to come out, meet him and enjoy the DVD. It's a big deal for us," Karlowicz added.
Also this weekend, U93 will be at the Haunted House Friday night and WSMK 99.1 will be there Saturday. Guest appearances by "Captain Jack Sparrow" will take place Friday and Saturday.
