NILES – The Ring Lardner eighth grade football team defeated St. Joseph last Wednesday, 33-0.
On the Vikings' first play from scrimmage, Austin Parks caught a screen pass from Dallas Munger and took it 52 yards for the touchdown.
Les Holt then scored the 2-point conversion.
Parks struck again with a 50-yard punt return the next time the Vikings touched the ball.
Myles Busby scored the next touchdown on a pass from Munger, going 18-yards for the score.
Parks then scored again with a 2-yard run with Zack Fillwock kicking the point-after-touchdown.
Busby caught one more touchdown pass, going 42-yards for the score.
On defense, Logan Harpeneau and Tyler Parish both recovered fumbles and Martell Miller forced a fumble.
The eighth grade is now 2-1-1 on the year.
