Alice Ethel Jordan, 90

Alice Ethel Jordan, 90, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, with her family by her side.

Alice was born on April 23, 1921, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to the late Warren Harlan and Gertrude (Moyer) Harlan.
On July 20, 1970, Alice married William Jordan at a ceremony in Niles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Milford “Mel” Evans, daughter, Barbra Bell,  and two brothers, Carl Harlan and George Harlan.
Alice is survived by two daughters, Anna (Mark) Carter of Niles, Shirley (Rich) Polivka of Flat Rock, N.C., a son Joe Evans of Cassopolis, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a brother, Charles Harlan.
Visitation for Alice is Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Portage Road General Baptist Church.  Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 1 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior at the church with Pastor Garland Rhodes officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to Hospice at Home; 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Mich. 49085.
