NILES – The Niles freshmen football team is now 3-0 on the season following its 16-0 victory over Kalamazoo Central on Thursday night.
The Vikings, who have shut out all of their opponents this season, got a touchdown run from Justin Pothoff and a 2-point conversion.
Niles scored its other touchdown on a pass from quarterback Nick Lucero to Trey Nichols.
Nichols also caught a 2-point conversion pass from Lucero.
Defensively for the Vikings, Zach Durm recovered a fumble, while Colin Burandt had an interception. Riley robson had several key tackles.
