Brandywine finishes 6th at New Buffalo invite

NEW BUFFALO – The Brandywine girls' cross country finished sixth at the New Buffalo Invitational on Wednesday.
Marquette was the winner with a total time of 2:02.23. Berrien Springs was second with River Valley finishing third, Bridgman fourth, Watervliet fifth and Brandywine sixth with a total time of 2:54.10.
Ashley Harrell finished ninth overall with a time of 24:40.
Jordenne Ferenczi was 30th (32:44), Nicole Newman 31st (33:56), Kylee Salisbury 33rd (36:42), Kahli Balint 43rd (46:08) Bethany Fortner 54th and Athena Heckathorne 55th.
The Bobcat boy's team did not have enough runners to score a team.
Berrien Springs won the division with a total time of 1:44.36.
Bridgman finished second with Watervliet taking third.
For Brandywine, Tyler Weedon finished sixth overall with a time of 18:56.
Elliott Richards was 16th (21:06), Aaron Sieting 24th (22:27) and Tom Buzzard 39th (28:34).
