NILES – Host Mattawan captured the second Big 16 Conference West Division jamboree on Monday morning at Lake Cora Hills in Paw Paw.
The Lady Wildcats scored 203 to defeat runner-up St. Joseph by seven strokes,
The Lady Bears finished at 210, while Niles was third with a team total of 229. Benton Harbor did not field a full squad.
Sarah Crabtree led Niles with a round of 51.
The Lady Vikings also got a 57 from Lena Cramer, a 59 from Eliza Coquillard and a 62 from Rachael Shinsky.
Jordan Brown and Meagan Horn shot 63 and 78 respectively.
Niles is back in action on Wednesday when they play at Pine View Golf Club near Three Rivers in the Big 16 Golf Tournament.
Play is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
