Howard Township 7-year-olds take tourney

NILES – The Howard Township 7-year-old All-Stars won their own tournament over the weekend at Pepper Martin Park.
Howard Township defeated the Howard Township 6-year-old All-Stars and Chet Wagner twice to take the title.
Against the 6-year-old All-Stars, the Howard Township 7-year-olds won 16-14 and 18-0. Against Chet Wagner, Howard Township won 14-1 and 14-4.
Finishing with three hits against Howard Township were Brey Plomb, Jacob Wiest, Thomas Dunlap, Hunter Bedell and Hannah Mitchell.
Blaine Clark, Cayden Coquillard and Zayne Neumann all had two hits.
In the first game against Chet Wagner, Bedell had four hits. Clark had three hits, while Plomb, Wiest, Dunlap, Mitchell, Neumann and Cole Simpson all had two hits.
Against Howard's 6-year-old All-Stars the second time around, Wiest, Dunlap, Bedell and Mitchall all had four hits. Plomb and Neumann both had three hits, while Chandler Dodd had two hits.
In the second meeting against Chet Wagner, Bedell and Clark each had three hits. Plomb, Wiest, Dunlap, Mitchell and Dodd all finished with two hits.
