NILES – The area will be well represented today in East Lansing.
Brandywine's Jim Myers, Dowagiac's Holly Lowe and Ryan Casey, along with Cassopolis' Nikitas Nelson will be playing in all-star games.
Lowe will play for the Red team in the Division 2 Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star game at 2:30 p.m.
Also playing in the Division 3 game at noon will be Cassopolis' Nikitas Nelson.
Brandywine coach Jim Myer will be on the Division 3 coaching staff as well.
Over at Spartan Stadium, Casey will play for the West team in the Michigan High School football Coaches Association game.
Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
Gull Lake's Andrew Grimes was also selected for the game.
Portage Northern's Josh Droppers, Rocky Weaver, Myles McNichols of Battle Creek Central and Kevin Pickleman of Marshall from the Big 16 Conference will join them.
The only other southwestern lower Michigan player on the roster is Centreville's Doug Mostrom.
