Denny Parks new basketball coach at IUSB

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Former Niles High School and Southwestern Michigan College basketball coach Denny Parks has a new job.
Parks has been named as the head coach at Indiana University South Bend (IUSB).
Parks was the head coach at Niles for five seasons (2001-2006). Parks captured two Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference West Division championships.
Parks was the head coach at SMC for five seasons (1980-1986), where he led the Roadrunners to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Western Division title and was named Coach of the Year in 1986.
Parks played his college ball at Central Michigan University and was a member of the Chippewas' 1975 Mid-American Conference championship team, which reached the NCAA's "Sweet 16." Parks still is listed in the CMU record book, where he is 10th all-time in assists with 285 and fourth all-time for single season assists with 165.
Parks is married to Brenda and has five children – Meghan, Ashton, Nathan, Jordan and Austin. He is the executive director of the American Youth Basketball Tour.
