NILES – For the first time in the post season, weather forced changes to the Little League Baseball District 15 tournament schedule.
Thunderstorms rolled through southwest Michigan on Tuesday night, forcing the cancellation of several games.
Some games were completed before the storms arrived, including one at Niles' Thomas Stadium, where Cassopolis was eliminated from the Junior Baseball tournament by Lawton-Marcellus-Paw Paw, 13-1.
Cassopolis also dropped a 6-3 decision to Centreville in Major Baseball.
Due to the weather, several games in Major Baseball have been moved to Niles' F.O.P. Park.
Niles will host Decatur at 5 p.m., while Constantine will take on Three Rivers at 7 p.m.
The loser of the Niles-Decatur contest will face Centreville at 9 p.m.
Over at Decatur, Niles F.O.P. will take on Lawton at 5:30 p.m.
Thomas Stadium will be busy again tonight.
Decatur is supposed to take on Mendon in the first game at 6 p.m., while Niles will face Three Rivers in the second game at 8:15.
It was unknown at press time when last night's Schoolcraft-Lawton-Marcellus-Paw Paw will be rescheduled.
All-Star coaches are reminded to turn in their results as quickly as possible.
