Pairings changed: Niles will now play on Monday at Thomas

NILES – The field for the Michigan District 15 Junior Baseball District Tournament has dwindled to nine teams.
Centreville has dropped out of the tournament and the brackets have been reconfigured.
Play will still begin on Saturday at Thomas Stadium.
There will be four games beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Vicksburg will take on Cassopolis in the opening game of the tournament. Constantine will take on Decatur at 2 p.m., while Lawton-Marcellus-Paw Paw will take on Mendon at 4:30 p.m.
Schoolcraft will take on Three Rivers in the final game of the day at 7 p.m.
Host Niles, which was originally scheduled to play on the opening day, will now play on Monday in the second game at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Niles will face the winner of the Vicksburg-Cassopolis game.
The first game of the consolation round will be played on Monday at 6 p.m.
The second round of consolation games will be played on Tuesday, July 10 at 6 and 8:15 p.m.
The consolation quarterfinals will be played on Wednesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. and 8:15. The championship quarterfinals will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
The consolation semifinals will be play on Friday, July 13 at 6 p.m. The winner advances to the consolation finals on Saturday, July 14 at 3:30 p.m.
The championship semifinals will be contested at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.
The championship game is slated to be played on Wednesday, July 18 6 p.m. If a second championship game is needed, it will be played on Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m.
The district champion will move on to Sectional competition July 21 at Vicksburg. The doubleheader will begin at 11 a.m. The second game will begin at 2 p.m.
The state tournament will be held at South Portage. The tournament will begin on July 28.
