Tornados, Niles R.A.P. both pick up wins on Sunday

NILES – The Tornados blanked Dura Mold FC on Sunday at Brandywine High School in Blossomland Soccer League play.
No further results were available at press time.
Also on Sunday, the St. Joe Kickers blanked St. Stephen's Villains, 6-0; Niles R.A.P. blanked the Red Arrow Stampede, 10-0; and Real Dowagiac and Diamonds United tied at 1-1.
The United is currently in first place based on criteria (fewer misconduct points).
No results were available for those games as well.
On Thursday night, the St. Joe Kickers, St. Stephen's Villains and Diamonds United all picked up victories.

Dowagiac's Tony Black, Ryan Berry and Jason Girvan scored for the Kickers, who improved to 5-1-1 on the year.
Dura Mold (4-3) got its lone goal from Mike McCoy.

Rob Grashorn scored a pair of goals to lead the Villains to their second victory of the season.
Shane Bookwalter scored the other goal for the Villains (2-4-1).
The Berrien Springs Internationals fall to 1-8 on the year.

Diamonds United remained tied with Real Dowagiac atop the standings with a victory over Niles R.A.P.
Doug Pittman scored the lone goal of the match as the United improved to 7-0. Niles is now 1-5-1 overall.

P&R FC…1
Mike Dalton, Sean Lindy and Richard Love scored as Whirlpool United improved to 5-2-1 on the season.
P&R FC (6-2) got its lone goal from Casey Janick.
The league returns to play on Thursday as Real Dowagiac travels to Berrien Springs to take on the Internationals at 6:30 p.m. and the Dowagiac Dawgs travel to Stevensville to take on Whirlpool United at Rockey Weed Field, also at 6:30.
On Friday, Dura Mold FC will travel to Dowagiac to take on the Dawgs at the high school at 6:30 p.m.
Also on Friday, St. Stephen's Villains will host Niles R.A.P. at Rockey Weed Field at 6:30.
Sunday's games will pit Diamonds United against Whirlpool United at Andrews Academy in Berrien Springs at 1 p.m. and the Tornados against the Stampede at Brandywine High School at 1 p.m.
